About Us
History of Woodhaven
Sculpted from a dairy farm hillside, pre-development activities for Woodhaven began in 2002 with a site and tree evaluation, culminating in the annexation of 9.87 acres into the City of Arvada in August 2002. The Development Agreement for 26 semi-custom single family homes was completed and approved in May 2003. The first homes were completed in late 2004. Declarant control ended in March 2006.
Location, Amenities
Woodhaven is a hidden gem located in Arvada with easy access to the Colorado Rocky Mountain Front Range, Olde Town Arvada, downtown Denver, Golden and Boulder. Mature landscaping sets the tone for an idyllic lifestyle and leads to the well-developed Arvada trail system for plenty of recreational opportunities.
The City of Arvada's 150+ mile trail system offers abundant outdoor options for recreation just at the perimeter of the neighborhood (trail map). More information is available at the Arvada Trail Information site: https://arvada.org/explore/open-space-nature/trails. - Proximity to the Ralston Creek Trail affords the opportunity to see wildlife visitors in our own backyards. Basil, the duck, selected our neighborhood to hatch and raise her 2023 family. And, our resident deer appreciates our detention pond and adjacent backyards.
- Additional recreational facilities are offered by Arvada at the APEX Park and Recreational District centers throughout the City. More information is available at the APEX site: https://apexprd.org
- For cultural events, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities offers a wide range of theater, art, music and education programs. https://arvadacenter.org/home
